Nottinghamshire's Rainbow Heritage has collaborated with NHS Nottinghamshire to produce "In the Pink", a booklet for GPs and other health workers. It aims to highlight areas where LGBT people have been disadvantaged by the NHS and to set out guidelines for good practice which, we hope, will remedy this. To read it, click HERE The booklet includes guidance on the monitoring of sexual orientation - an expansion of some of the points raised can be read HERE
The Nottingham Map contains links to nearly 60 places used by LGBT people for social and support purposes.

One of our exhibition themes is about POLARI, the "secret" gay language made famous by Julian and Sandy (Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Williams) on the 1960s radio show "Round the Horne".

NRH's resources have been fundamental to 10 training sessions for the whole of the staff of Nottinghamshire Connexions; for a workshop on homophobic bullying for Nottingham schools; for an LGB Awareness session for Nottingham CVS and a workshop on Homophobia for East Midlands Open University.
NRH's "Proud to be Gay" LGB Awareness training sessions in November 2009 were oversubscribed and received excellent evaluations, so we did an extra session this May and a further session in November 2010. The latest session is on November 16th 2011 - that too is oversubscribed.
We have also been involved in providing training/presentations for Rushcliffe Council, Newark and Sherwood Council, Waterloo Housing, Bright Ideas, Let's Build and Trent University, Centre Place ...
